No vet offices taking new patients right now
Against her advice i changed the wrap daily and no improvement was being made. After 4 days we decided to try a different vet for a 2nd opinion. They were shocked that the 1st vet tried to clean the abscess without pain mitigation and immediately put our dog on antibiotics.
I've had such a great experience with them so yeah they're over crowded, welcome to midland where every Vet and business is packed. I brought my baby kitty for a spay and everything went well. I came back to neuter my two boys. The stuff is as attentive as they can be like I said they get a lot of animals but this is a typical problem for midland. I guess what I'm trying to say that this is probably the best Vet visits I've made and I've been to different veterinarians.
Not to mention the outrageous charges for any service, $300 to clean a wound and put iodine in it, I could've done that and saved time, fuel and money. Used to take horses and dogs there for years, and I will never be back.
This place is AWFUL! I got my outside cat spayed. They charged $155 and told me if we had any problems or if it looked infected to just bring her back in. It got infected 2 days later so I brought her in and they charged me $120 to clean it out and give an antibiotic shot! That's insane, they should've treated her infection for free! AND the lady at the front is so rude and looks miserable.
Jana is by far one of the absolute meanest, rudest, and completely uncouth receptionists that I've ever encountered. She was the turning point in why I will never ever be back to this place.
This vet may be very good with large animals, but with our dog, we had a horrible experience.
Once they were done "cleaning", the wrapped it and told me to leave the bandage on for 6 days. 2nd alarm. When i asked if he needed pain medication and antibiotics, i got an eye roll and was told that he was "fine" and that she "barely touched him". 3rd alarm.
Very poor experience. Our dog had an abscess on his foot to be treated. The Vet proceeded to clean his foot without any sedation or local anesthetic. My dog then howled and made noises i had never heard before. he was in so much pain he had a bowel movement. 1st alarm
