I wish I could give this ZERO stars. Technically this was a Thrifty rental, however I had to make the transaction at Hertz. After taking 2 flights to get to Midland I then have to take a rental car 5 hours to reach my final destination. The less than pleasant woman at the counter didn't even look up to acknowledge me as I said the sign at Thrifty directed me here. Again, without even lookong up, says what name is your reservation under? Obviously bothered that she had to take care of this, or she was just having a bad day... Or maybe shes just always rude and condescending. She says license and credit card, I hand them over. She said do you jave insurance I respond yes and I have insurance for rentals with my credit card. She grabs a set of keys and I asked what type of car was it and she says "corolla" again without looking up. The only time she looks up is when she says you know there is a $350 hold for the rental. When I ask why she says its like that for every rental. I get upset and ask why was that nowhere on the rental or the confirmation she says she doesnt know and still never looks at me. I tell her I only have a set amount available on my card and she proceeds to tell me "well I dont know what you want me to do, if you do a walk up with hertz I can do a $200 hold plus rental" ummmm, thats more than what you just told me with thrifty. After just about crying because she is so condescending and I am literally stick with no rental I rudely respond to her to just give me my damn card and I'll figure it out. Well..... RIGHT NEXT TO HERTZ IS ENTERPRISE. GO TO THEM.... They will help you out in a bind, and it may not be what I originally reserved but I got me on my way. After renting over 15 rental cars amd never having this "hold" and never having this type of service I will NEVER EVER do business with HERTZ or Thrifty. I'll stick to tried and true Enterprise.
Please stay away from hertz, especially this location. The worst company with the rudest employees. Don't waste your time! Terrible.
Bad customer service. They will make reservations for cars they don't actually in their lot and make you wait hours for a car to come in.
Frustrating that the flight to Midland is shorter than the wait to pick up my car at Hertz. Every. Single. Time. And the apathetic customer service is just the icing on the cake.
Easy pickup and dropoff. Had the type of vehicle I requested.
