She arrived at about 8:15 PM, and immediately contacted us. My grandfathers briefs had a handwritten time of 5:21 AM.

My Grandmother stay with HSRH. Today she was moved to her new nursing home, when she arrived she told my dad that while she was being transported some derogatory remarks were made about her not be able to help when being transported to her nursing home. Not to mention the first instance of ants her bed during her brief stay with HSRH... I have made a formal complaint and will follow up with Legal Action if nothing is done about our experience... Senior Citizens deserve not only to be respected but they deserve to be treated with a sense of compassion after an ordeal such as a stroke or any other health scare...

My husband was just in Healthsouth and this was our second time to be there we would like to give a shout out to the wonderful staff and all of the care they gave him during our stay. I would like to address the remodeling. If anyone has ever been through remodeling they know that it is very inconvenient for everyone and in this case most especially the contractors that are having to do it yet we never found a soul to be rude or uncaring from both the staff and the contractors that where doing the work especially towards the patients. We had amazing staff from our doctor, case manager, PT/OT, chef and staff, nurses, nurses assistant and the cleaning people where all kind very professional and at times went above and beyond trying to take care of the patient. I feel we are very blessed to have Healthsouth rehab close and all the community's benefit from it being there. I'm sorry that some can't see the bigger picture when this remodeling is over it's going to be great and even better for everyone. It is always hard to be away from home but y'all made it less stressful and a very pleasant time thank u each and everyone. We can't speak for everyone but thank you to each and every staff member of the Healthsouth staff from the bottom of our hearts we thank u.

The facility & corporate office have been contacted & formal complaints filed, but want to be sure that others who might use healthsouth know not to leave loves ones unattended at this facility.

Update: I got a letter from HS sent to Mom and myself saying "she" requested to go home and when asked if she felt ok she said yes. She's almost 80 and with meds - she was not in her right mind to make that decision. Her two primary doctors were NOT notified about the new 5 medications and she was taken off all the new 5 ones the minute she arrived to MMH.

This disregard for patient health, wellbeing, and comfort is inexcusable. My grandfather is just one patients in their care. He was left alone in their care for less than one full day, while family members attended to another emergency. I cannot imagine the kind of neglect that other patients who do not have family to check on them regularly are subject to.

My grandparents normally have caretakers who come to their home. Although neither of them was at home, their evening caretaker offered to check on my grandpa on Monday night, since he hadnt had vistitors.

My grandfather went to healthsouth on friday Oct 20, after having been released from MMH for congenital heart failure, renal failure, and dehydration. A family member was with him daily from Friday until Monday.

The Orson's / Robert and Loretta

Her last day in Rehab they told her she was going home at 10am, when the discharge was set for 5pm. They dressed her and put her in bed where she did not eat or get up for 7 hours. No rehab that day or the day before.

I will update this when I get information. HeathSouth went to the hospital today to ask her questions about her stay - which I found odd.

After 7 days she was discharged without knowing what day it was, where she was, she had not eaten in 2 days but yet they managed to give her additional meds for pain and anxiety. She went home for 2 hours where while laying down she thought she was baking chicken, needed powder, talking to people who were no in the room - before we took her back to MMHospital. It took 48 hours to clear her system.

I went to visit my brother at this facility. I wish I could give it zero stars. It was after visiting hours but they allowed us to come in anyway. The place appeared as though it is never cleaned. My brother was barely getting a shower at 11pm. The Rn Gloria after dealing with my brother's roommate put on one new glove and neglected to change the other one. As she prepared to wrap his leg so he could shower with trash bags, my aunt whom is in the medical field asked her if she was going to cover the end of his machine. She just looked at her all puzzled. Then after he gets out the shower we are talking to him and my aunt begins killing ants that are on the wall. On the floor is a piece of candy or something that seems to have been there for months with more ants. I would not recommend anyone go here if you have other options.

Having been diagnosed with renal failure & dehydration, his urine output was supposed to have been monitored, and obviously had not been. Not to mention the hygiene & comfort problems that sitting in soiled undergarments for 15 hours will cause.

Over Medicated and place on 2 opioids. My mother suffered a fall and after Midland Memorial she requested to do rehab here since she had friends that went through rehab at the same location. We were told this facility also acts as a medical facility and they would monitor her vitals, give medications, report any issues to her doctors. They failed to care for her in the proper manner.

On monday, Oct 23, my grandmother was rushed to the ER, so family was with her, thinking that my grandfather would be in good hands at this rehab center, that promises “a higher level of care” as well as “5-7 nursing hours per patient per day”.
