At Peyton's, we take our reviews seriously and want to address concerns that our customers have. In a recent review, Mr Braduardo was upset about a comment one of our staff made. First - everyone working at Peyton's, including our "kids" ride bicycles. Some ride road, some mountain and some BMX, but everyone rides. Second, he heard a comment made about Peyton's Bikes being the only bike shop in Midland. What the salesman was saying was that Peyton's was the only bicycle shop open at the time - the other bicycle store was closed at the time for vacation and he did not want the customer driving across town to find the doors locked. We have sent several customer to that store and to one in Odessa if we feel that they can better handle a customers needs.

Great service. Repairs are made efficiently and reasonable priced. If they don't have what you need they order it for you.
Knowledgeable friendly honest shop! Worth a trip in even if not buying anything. They're happy to answer any questions regardless of your level of intent to purchase. They won't follow you around the store as if you're up to no good. My west Texas shop of preference Fo Sho
The three times I've been in the store I've experienced greed(typical Midland Texas)and laziness. First, I was shopping for a bike that retails around 2k. Peytons wanted 2600 no less. I ended up purchasing my bike in Lubbock for 1850. Second,I wanted information on the bike trails between Odessa and Midland. The bubble gum brat working the counter offered minimal info and insisted I pay just to go look. If I had a chance to look first I'd have no problem paying. Thanks but no thanks. Today, I tried to have a tube repaired. The guy said it would be at least a week unless I bought a new tube (which I didn't need!) In which case he'd put it on immediately. Like I said, GREED! I work for a mom and pop company. I'm proud to say we still treat people like neighbors. Not just dollar signs. Unfortunately, as far as I know, Peytons is the only bike shop in town so they must get the impression that they can neglect actual customer service. Sad. Midland is capable of so much more class. Yes, I'm from here so I can say with certainty that class, respect, politeness,courtesy and professionalism is rare in what used to be a great town. Peytons might be an awesome store any other given time however three times in a row is bad odds. Definitely not worth the visit. Lubbock is only two hours away and has multiple shops that compete for your business. Needless to say, customer service is outstanding there. Once you experience that then you kind of realize the poor business practices that's all to common in Midland.
