I have been coming here for quite some time. The girls appear friendly (most). My girl I've always had an issue with but kept returning because it’s difficult finding new/good hairdressers if you aren’t as familiar with people around this area. I’m not going to mention names, which I probably should but figured the least I can do is write a review and if you happen to experience any of this, switch hair dressers or go elsewhere! This particular hair dresser is ALWAYS, ALWAYS late for my scheduled appointments. Whether she is just coming in to work or still working with other clients, I’m always waiting. When other clients come through the door their hair dressers approach them rapidly (like they should). I understand once or twice time gets away from you and I’m understanding but every time?! To me, that is very inconsiderate considering most of us work and when usually trying to fit in a quick trim or whatever. She never listened to what I'd ask for when it came to certain color or requests in general. The color thing she completely messed up on and still made me pay for returning to fix the color like 3 times. She appeared upset with me for telling her she messed up my hair. I didn’t say it like that and I felt bad for even telling her, but she put too much color on my ends making it look ombre and it was not what I was wanting. The picture I showed her was completely different. Then I feel obligated to tip because then you seem cheap. I was never rude or showed disappointment. In fact I had been loyal by returning to her. This last time, we had a scheduled appointment and she thought it was more important to have something else to do and not be present after driving all the way from the other side of town. I was leaving town for vacation so wanted a quick trim. The girl up front asked if I wanted to wait. Really!!?? While the hair dresser is out running around and I’m short for time? No more! I was completely disappointed!!! A good hair dresser would be more considerate to their loyal clients. Horrible service for what I thought was a great salon. No more will I advise my friends to this salon.
Love this salon! My hairdresser is Darlene, and she knows how to cut and style long hair without cutting too much off. I get my hair cut every six weeks to ensure it doesn't break off, and this salon knows all about hair, color and nails!
I have been following my stylist, Patti, around to various salons. She's that good! Ray-Clark Salon is a nice place. The decor is modern and trendy.
The shopping center the salon is located in has quite a few popular spots, i.e. Starbucks, Grub Burger Bar, Heroes Gym, etc. so I had a difficult time finding a parking spot in the very busy and crowded parking spot. Get there early enough to look for a parking spot or allow ample time to walk from your parking spot to the salon.
Very clean, and the friendliest Girls with the most amazing skills on what they do!
Upon entering, the stylist that was working on a client stopped to ask how she could help me, FYI the receptionist was out to lunch. I told her I was there to see Patti and she invited me to have a seat and even offered a me drink of water while I waited. So far, so good.
Terrible experience. Got a call 5 min before my appointment asking to come later so my stylist could run a personal errand. While I was processing under the dryer she took a walk-in, I sat for over 45 min under the dryer with bleach on my head. I told her it was burning and she said she'd turn the heat down. After she cut her walk-in she told me she wouldn't have time to style my hair and I would have to leave with it wet. The highlights weren't toned like they should have been either. The foils on the top of my head bled and I have a spot of bleach that looks like a blob and a raw spot where I told her it was burning. THEN she told me she only takes cash or checks and as I was leaving she was taking the time to style the walk-in client she had taken while I was under the dryer. I thought this was a high end salon and this stylist had been doing hair for some time but apparently I was mistaken. This was the most unprofessional experience I've had at any salon and I will not be returning ever again.
