The academics are ridiculous. I looked it up and theyre academically unsuccessful and have been for a while. The dress code is absolutely stupid with no holes I'm pant hair must be a certain way ect. The teacher either dont care of are too "brainwashed". Everyone there has some former tie to Greenwood meaning that they dont see the things that are wrong with it.
Great academics!!! However! You are literally not allowed to have a personality at Greenwood! Strict Dress Code! I know what your thinking. No booty short, no showing cleavage, the basics with strict enforcement by the teachers. NOPE!!! We have strict enforcement, but here are some more. Girls are not allowed to have feathers. No graphic tee's representing a band! No flip flops! Hair must be a "Natural" Hair style. ABSOLUTELY NO HOLES IN THE PANTS. You know the $100 dollar pants you can buy that are fashionable that have the premade holes that you can't see through? Those are not even allowed. No matter if the hole is the size of a pinhole. If a teacher can see the hole, you will be in trouble and sent home. If you are looking for a school that is great academically, then Greenwood is the place! However, if you want your child to be able to have a personality and become their own person, GOOD LUCK IF YOU SENT THEM TO GREENWOOD! They will be literally told what to wear, and how to wear it, and to act a certain way!
Great school, I had a wonderful experience here.
Greenwood has good academics and a good sporting program. The coaches and the teachers are great. They will prepare you for not only college, but also how to be a respectful young man or woman later in life.
