we went there today and all I can say is my husband and I loved it the staff there were very nice and great to talk to. I love history and this was by far the best museum I have ever been too! learned so much and im from mi do haven't ever seen a place this good!. very awesome will be going again!! :)
The museum is only open on Saturdays. It is free to get in, except a donation. The majority of the aircraft have been moved to Dallas. They still have a few operational aircraft located here and a few static displays. We watched a T-28 fire up and take off. That was pretty cool. Overall it was okay, but not quite what we were looking forward too. Had some nice historic displays, story boards, and interactive models. They are doing the best they can with the resources they have left.
It has the most amazing historical monuments and information on them. The air show that they have during the summer is always the most amazing event.
Don't waste your time the man at the counter was a grade A jerk and they're closing the museum in one week (29 August 2015)
i was there 1-2-2017, it is closed up totally, it's all moved to Dallas.
